In the film Silvana Mangano plays two roles, as Penelope, the faithful wife of Ulysses and the sorceress, Circe. American star Kirk Douglas plays the Greek hero, Ulysses. Anthony Quinn plays Antinous. The tremendous success of this film led to the making of Hercules (1958), which was credited with igniting the Italian peplum craze of the 1960s.

Les Misérables is a 1982 French drama film directed by Robert Hossein. It is one of the numerous screen adaptations of the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. It was entered into the 13th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Special Prize.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a 1923 American film starring Lon Chaney, directed by Wallace Worsley, and produced by Carl Laemmle and Irving Thalberg. The supporting cast includesPatsy Ruth Miller, Norman Kerry, Nigel de Brulier, and Brandon Hurst. The film was Universal’s “Super Jewel” of 1923 and was their most successful silent film, grossing over $3 million.
The film is based on Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name, and is notable for the grand sets that recall 15th century Paris as well as for Chaney’s performance and make-up as the tortured hunchback Quasimodo. The film elevated Chaney, already a well-known character actor, to full star status in Hollywood, and also helped set a standard for many later horror films, including Chaney’s The Phantom of the Opera in 1925. In 1951, the film entered the public domain (in the USA) due to the claimants failure to renew its copyright registration in the 28th year after publication.

Molière

Trong cảnh 1 hồi 1, Sganarelle nói chuyện với Gusman, tên hầu của Done Elvire và tiết lộ con người thật của Don Juan, kẻ sau đó tiếp tục kết hôn nhiều lần rồi bỏ rơi những cô gái bị hắn ta chinh phục.
